
Laura Bylenok is a writer from Seattle, Washington. She is the author of the poetry books Living Room (University of Nebraska Press, 2022), winner of the Backwaters Prize in Poetry, Warp (Truman State University Press, 2015), winner of the T.S. Eliot Prize, and a/0 (New Michigan Press, 2014). Her poetry has appeared in journals such as Guernica, Ninth Letter, Arts & Letters, swamp pink, PANK, DIAGRAM, and many others. She holds a BA from the University of Washington, an MFA from the Writing Seminars at Johns Hopkins University, and a PhD in Literature and Creative Writing from the University of Utah, where she was awarded the Vice-Presidential Fellowship. She is an associate professor of English and Creative Writing at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
